DETROIT, June 22 (Our Michigan Times) — Chevrolet has introduced the next-generation 2027 Silverado 1500, saying the full-size pickup will be its most powerful Silverado ever and will reach buyers later this year with new V8 engines and an updated digital cabin.

The company said the truck will offer next-generation 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V8 engines, along with an enhanced 2.7-liter TurboMax and the Duramax 3.0-liter Turbo-Diesel. Chevrolet said the 2027 Silverado 1500 will continue to offer four powertrain choices.

Chevrolet also said the new Silverado offers the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 engine in its class, though the company did not provide horsepower or torque figures in the materials reviewed for the launch.

Inside, Chevrolet said every 2027 Silverado 1500 will come with a modern digital cockpit that includes a 16.3-inch center display and a 12.2-inch driver information center. The ZR2 and High Country trims add an 11.5-inch front passenger screen and are paired with a heads-up display and rear camera mirror.

The company said the truck will be available later this year and that pricing will be announced later this year. Chevrolet said there will be seven available models: ZR2, High Country, Trail Boss, Silverado, Custom Trail Boss, Custom and WT.
