UNION, SOUTH CAROLINA, June 25 (Nationwide Times) — Three Wendy’s employees in Union, South Carolina, were charged with tampering with food after police said a customer’s remade drive-thru order was taken from the trash and spit on before being served again.

The incident was reported at the Wendy’s on North Duncan Bypass in Union, according to police accounts cited in news reports.

Fox News identified the employees charged as Aaliyah Shuntai Sanders, Trinity Lashell Rice and Shadela Crystal Holley. Audacy, citing the Union Police Department, said Sanders and Rice were arrested and that a third employee was disciplined by the restaurant.

Fox News reported that the arrests happened separately between June 16 and June 22. The reporting also said the manager told police the employees had been written up.

The available reporting did not identify the restaurant’s owner or franchise operator, and it did not say how the case was resolved in court.
