NEW YORK, June 9 (DC Times Online) — President Donald Trump drew a mixed reaction at Madison Square Garden on Monday when he was shown on the arena’s big screen during Game 3 of the NBA Finals, Fox News reported.

The game was between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs, according to Fox News. A Getty Images photo by Samuel Corum, cited in the report, showed Trump at the start of Game 3 on June 8, 2026.

Trump was shown during the national anthem, with his granddaughter Kai Trump on one side and Knicks owner James Dolan on the other, Fox News reported. The outlet described the reaction as mixed, with some cheers and louder boos as Trump saluted from a suite.

The response was different from the one Trump received at the College Football Playoff national championship at Hard Rock Stadium, where Fox News reported the crowd cheered when he appeared on the Jumbotron during the anthem.

Fox News reported that after Trump’s appearance on the screen, the video panned back to NYPD officers holding flags on the court.

The final score, series standing and player statistics from Game 3 were not included in the available source material.
